After you pass your exam and electronically sign both the Quick Form 605 and CSCE, ARRL will transmit your info to the FCC. This typically happens the following business day.

The FCC will send you an email usually within 1-2 business days asking you to pay the $35 license fee by logging into CORES.

• If you don’t get an email from the FCC check your spam folder. 
• You may also log in to the CORES system, select Manage Existing FRNs, then FRN Financial.
• YOU HAVE 10 CALENDAR DAYS TO PAY THE APPLICATION FEE AFTER YOUR FILE NUMBER IS ISSUED.
• Please pay with a desktop or laptop computer, as mobile devices don’t always process correctly…Better safe than sorry!

• If you pay by 5pm EST, you should get an email from the FCC with your new call sign the next morning.
